Mid-Century Masterpiece

2023

This 'Mid-Century Masterpiece,' located in St. Catharines received the 2023 Ontario Home Builders Association Award for best home renovation (over $500,001). The original 1960s bungalow underwent extensive renovations to transform the home into one of Windrush Hill's most architecturally stunning home renovation projects.

The front of the house features a stone exterior and over 95 feet of continuous transom windows wrapping around its perimeter.
Stepping inside, you're welcomed into the home's open-concept living space that is visually divided into four distinct areas.
Walnut slats and millwork were used to line the dining room in order to create the look of a formal dining space while still maintaining an open-concept feel.
The dining room flows into the minimalist kitchen, where the walnut tones of the island pendant tie together the two spaces.
The kitchen, which has direct views and access to the outdoors, features white cabinetry, Miele appliances, and high-gloss countertops.
Floor-to-ceiling windows wrap around the lounge, bringing the outdoors in.
The backyard oasis comes to life at night through layers of indoor and outdoor lighting.
The primary bedroom cantilevers over the pool deck on a steel beam spanning 30 feet.
The primary bedroom is encased in glass, connecting the indoor space with the outdoor surroundings.
The ensuite washroom, positioned forward in the home, makes use of transom windows to bring in natural light while maintaining privacy.
